Fire damage restoration in Toronto
After a fire in a Toronto home or business, Safesite secures the property, cleans soot and smoke, removes the odour, and dries out the water used to put the fire out.
Fire jobs are nearly always water jobs too, and water damage restoration is what we do every day, with IICRC-certified technicians, 24 hours a day.

The first days after a fire
Don’t turn on the HVAC system until it’s been checked; it spreads soot through the house. Don’t wipe soot off walls yourself, because it smears into the paint. Call your insurer, then call us, and we’ll secure the property and start the water and soot work so the damage doesn’t keep growing.
Smaller smoke damage
Kitchen fires and furnace puff-backs leave soot and odour without structural damage. We clean and deodorize those too, often in a day or two.
Questions
Can smoke smell be removed completely?
Usually, once the soot is cleaned off every surface and any materials that absorbed it are removed. Masking it with fragrance doesn’t work, and we don’t do it.
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We document the damage and the work for your adjuster and can talk to them directly.
